San Francisco, California: Where Warren Harding Died
Exhausted and ailing, President Harding died in 1923 in what was then Room 8064 (now Room 888) of the Palace Hotel, apparently after being given purgatives by his quack homeopath doctor. The Palace, a pricey hotel, doesn't advertise that a President died there, but it does have a glass case in a ground floor hallway, inset in a wall, displaying a scrapbook with yellowed press clippings of Harding's death.
