Billy and Benny

When I was in high school, Billy and Benny McCrary [the motorbike-riding World's Heaviest Twins] would ride their bikes to Sunny Side Seafood Restaurant, south of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet. Their wives -- or maybe girlfriends, I don't know for sure -- would follow in a white van, carrying the benches that they sat on in the restaurant. I had the pleasure or serving them multiple times.

Heaviest Twins Largest Granite Tombstone

Beautiful views and great uptown area with a Mast general store.

The cemetery, where the massive McCrary Brothers (promoted as the McGuire Twins) were interred beneath an equally massive tombstone, is about 8 1/2 miles SW of Hendersonville.

Heaviest Twins Largest Granite Tombstone

Just to let anyone know where the world's largest granite tombstone is located, under which lies Benny and Billy McCrary aka, the world's largest twins:

I-26 from either west or east: take exit 49-B, go through town, and all the red lights (11 of them) and turn left onto Church Street. Then, go to the 8th red light, turn right onto Kanuga Rd. This road meanders from between thirteen to eighteen miles in total, and somewhere becomes Crab Creek Road. Keep your eyes peeled for a couple of small lakes on your left; after you pass them, Jeter Mtn Rd is coming up on the right, and the cemetery and church are located there. If you get to the end of Crab Creek Road, you have gone too far and need to turn around! There is a green road sign "Jeter Mtn Rd", and of course the church is labeled.

Therein lie the twins and their huge tombstone.

World's Heaviest Twins Gravesite

Billy and Benny McCrary, the World's Heaviest Twins, are buried at Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC. .I remember Benny, I think he was a pawn shop owner over by Hot Dog World (A roadside attraction and Hendersonville staple in itself!).

Hey! Looks like their tombstone is sinking into the ground! The little motorbikes are a nice touch...

Minibike-riding Heaviest Twin Gravestone

I have heard a rumor that the World's largest granite gravestone is in Hendersonville, NC and it was erected for Benny McCrary aka Benny McGuire. Benny and his brother Billy were the World's Heaviest Twins. They rode Honda Mini Bikes across the US, and were professional wrestlers under the McGuire name. Benny was fatally injured in a Mini-Bike stunt accident and is reportedly resting in North Carolina under the World's Largest Granite Gravestone that is embossed with pictures of their minibikes. Please help, I need to visit this shrine. I was captivated by their picture in the Book of World records when I was a kid.
