Richmond, Virginia: Abe and Tad Lincoln Statue
A bronze Abe and son Tad sit on a bench. Titled. "To Bind up the Nation's Wounds," the sculpture by David Frech was inspired by the pair's visit to Richmond -- the former Confederate capitol -- just a week before the President was assassinated. The statue was placed at the old Confederate Iron Works because no one else in Richmond wanted it.
