Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania: Statue of Washington Crossing the Delaware
A larger-than-life limestone replica of the historically fanciful 1851 painting by Emanuel Leutze. Washington stands tall in the boat while hapless oarsmen shoo away mini-icebergs. The sculpture's inscription says that it was a Bicentennial gift to the United States people from the Indiana limestone industry.

This statue of General Washington leading his army across the Delaware River is really quite impressive. Keep in mind its not part of the state park. It's at a nice event venue, so be careful not to become a wedding crasher during someone's special day!
[Mike Gassmann, 10/24/2021]The statue is on the grounds of the Washington Crossing Inn, which has a lovely garden and outdoor dining from which you can walk to the statue. The statue is still impressive. Needs a power wash. Across River Road is the Crossing state park, which is getting a much needed makeover.
