Where President McKinley's Body Lay in State

If you go up to the second floor of the building, there is a plaque that marks the courtroom where Leon Czolgosz was tried and convicted of President McKinley's assassination. To approach the courtroom, we passed through gates that we were told were placed to keep spectators and gawkers at bay during the trial.
