World's Largest Chile Pepper: Pretty cool pepper!
[Marie Kelly, 03/11/2016]We actually stayed at this hotel. It's cheap and the owners are super nice. They have chile gardens in the courtyard and everything is chile-themed. Not your average "America's Best" motel.

Largest chile pepper in the world! Is enclosed behind a gate.
[Hayden, 03/31/2012]Built in 2010-2011 by the owners of a motel who thought it would attract tourists to their neighborhood, and give Las Cruces an identity (The chile pepper is New Mexico's favorite crop). This 47-foot-long behemoth also establishes Las Cruces as a rival to Hatch, New Mexico, which claims to be Chile Capital of the World.
Even if the motel changes owners, the fire-engine-red pepper will probably stay; it's an Old School attraction, built of 5,000 pounds of concrete.
