Cost is $5 per car. Hike down into the canyons -- it is a river bed, so be sure to wear proper sturdy shoes that will keep your feet dry. If limited on time canyons 4 and 5 are best, then drive and park at the overlook (by the playground) to get a scenic overview of a few of the canyons. We completed canyons 4 and 5 plus the overlook in 1.5 hours (and we are a bit out of shape and found it relatively easy) Go early for best parking and less crowds, preferably on weekdays.

Go at a cooler time of year. Very pretty! You must like hiking.

I was worried about visiting after reading one of the [tips], but the canyon is still very scenic. What I found interesting was the "old" observation areas that had obviously fallen into the canyon.
[Fran Cohn, 07/20/2016]Sorry. Little fun here! Pine trees and kudzu have taken over, so there are very few "open vistas" to be seen. A waste of time and gas money.
