A replica of a 1916 statue of Abraham Lincoln by Alfonso Pelzer -- paid for with pennies donated by schoolchildren. Restored in 2001, destroyed by a car in 2018. The town plans to replace it with a new Lincoln statue in 2021.

Lincoln Statue Made with Donated Pennies
The base and plaque are still at the location, a tricky little point of land... but no Lincoln. I left a shiny 1964 Lincoln cent. Maybe others will follow my lead.
