Fredericksburg, Virginia - Childhood "Cherry Tree" Home of George Washington

In April 2015, a ceremony was held at Ferry Farm for the groundbreaking of an "interpretive replica" of George Washington's boyhood home. The fundraising goal is $40 million for the first phase. Artifacts that were discovered at the archeological dig site can be viewed inside the visitors center, while an interactive iPad tour takes you around the property and to the once and future site of the Washington house.
