Great place with amazing and somewhat startling history. Before the early 1990s, Tunica County was one of the most impoverished places in the United States. Then, in 1992, the Splash Riverboat Casino opened at a dock in Mhoon Landing. Splash gained popularity, and soon, more and more casinos started popping up in Mhoon Landing. However, after Splash closed in 1995, casino owners decided to set up shop in Robinsonville, operating land casinos. The hub of the Tunica area has been in Robinsonville ever since then.
Two thirds of the town's population are employed by a variety of casinos. If you're ever driving southwest of Memphis, check out the Casino Display at the Hollywood. It will change the way you look at gambling.

There is more than slot machines and table games inside the casino at Hollywood. Around the outer edges are props and memorabilia from famous Hollywood movies. There is a replica of the Titanic, the Batmobile, Herby the Love Bug, the Dolorean from Back to the Future, and King Kong -- just to name a few.
