Hodgenville, Kentucky: The Lincoln Museum
A small, home-grown attraction, "Kentucky's official Lincoln Museum" since 1991. The second floor displays items such as a big wall map of the route of Lincoln's Funeral Train. But the first floor is our favorite, with 12 booth-sized wax dummy dioramas that tell the story of Lincoln's life. See boyhood log-cabin Abe reading a book! See soon-to-be-dead Abe at Ford's Theatre, with the door behind him opened a crack to admit his murderer!

Hodgenville is a small town with a big attraction: the Lincoln Museum. The museum, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, has twelve dioramas displaying various events of the President's life, including Lincoln as a youngster, his rail splitting years, the Lincoln-Douglas debates, the Gettysburg Address, Lee's surrender to Grant at Appomattox, and, of course, Lincoln at Ford's Theatre. The museum also houses exhibits, memorabilia, and the Lincoln Days Art Collection.
