Sacajawea was absolutely amazing! The details were incredible, and it was easy to locate her within the park. There were a lot of other things to see and do in the park.

It took us a few minutes to find the statue until we found "Sacagawea Circle" on Google Maps right next to the Locks Waterfront Grill. The statue is really detailed. There are other sculptures and items of historical interest around the park.

My brother and I sought out this sculpture as we drove down 84. She's next to the marina, pointing west down the Columbia River towards the Pacific, with her dog standing attentively beside her. It's true, it's a dramatic superhero-like pose. As she points the way ahead, she simultaneously reaches back to touch the hand of the baby on her back; maybe she has to touch hands to activate her powers, Wonder-Twins style!

Sculptor Heather Soderberg gave this Sacajawea the look of a Hollywood superhero. We think she's hurling invisible fireballs.
