This is now a ghost town. The owner/resident has left. Gas station has a lot of trash. Still glad I got to see it, but I really wish the gift shop was still open.
[nadine, 02/15/2019]Sorry to read that the store and gas station in Buford are closed. It's a little place in the middle of nowhere. The gas pumps saved me from absolute misery a few years ago. I was driving cross-country for the birth of my grandson and I miscalculated gas stations. The gas computer in the car went to zero, there was nothing in site in a major rural area, it was cold, and the winds were at 50 mph. I was on fumes and Buford showed up out of nowhere. That town was a Guardian Angel to me.
[Kevin OConnor, 06/29/2018]Drove by on I-80. Saw from the side of the road. It's boarded up and closed.
[Erin Cohen, 06/19/2018]Buford is now closed, but apparently the gas pumps still work.

Super nice owner, great visit. Took the back dirt road to get there, scenic route, decent roads.
