Every time I visit my mom in Georgia I have to stop by Juliette to eat at The Whistle Stop Cafe and buy honey at the Honey Comb Gift Shop. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've eaten. "The secret's in the sauce!"

Good food. More people go than I imagined, so it was buzzing. Almost all the shop owners said prices were negotiable (makes me think they might be hurting for business). The shops really don't offer anything that I couldn't buy anywhere else. But it's a good photo opportunity and fun for the kids if they have seen the movie and people are nice. My son wanted to go find Stubs, but we didn't make it that far since it's a drive away from the restaurant and we had just stopped for lunch. We will be going again!

The cafe served as a movie set for "Fried Green Tomatoes," starring Kathy Bates.

My husband and I stopped through here in February when there weren't too many people around. Talk about sticky sweet southern hospitality! It was a bit worrisome to find, since the GPS lost signal. We almost missed the town sign, it was so insignificant. Don't get stuck on the slum you have to pass to get to it. As soon as we broke through the trees at the bottom of the hill it was like we were in the movie. The tomatoes are better than any I've had. The honey that is sold in one of the shops is alright.

The Whistle Stop Cafe, where the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was made, was worth the trip. The food there was fantastic, southern home cooking, and yes, I ate fried green tomatoes...yum! This was easy to find; the town had lots of signs. You will even find an opossum eating Cracker Jacks, a squirrel on a tractor, and moonshine jelly.
