Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: 15-Foot-Tall Squatting Indian
Chief Teedyuscung is carved in full headdress, with his right hand to his brow, shadowing his eyes, as he looks westward. Sculpted in 1902, the statue was placed on a bluff where the Lenape were believed to hold their pow-wows.

- Drive from the city on Germantown Ave. Turn left onto Rex Ave., at the top of the hill in Chestnut Hill. Follow Rex Ave. south until it dead-ends at the park gate. Walk straight down the path and you will see a trail to the right with a steep incline. Rock steps have been added as an improvement to encourage you to go this way. In a few minutes you will be atop the bluff, next to the Indian.
