Giant milkshake. We didn't go inside, but it looked busy!
[MellowD, 12/30/2013]
The old Dairi-O restaurant was a local landmark where generations of teenagers met for dates over hot dogs and Cokes, and Little League players gleefully celebrated victories with postgame ice cream. The little white restaurant, the first to serve fast food in King, had been wedged on a sliver of land between Dalton and East King streets since the early 1940s.
The new Dairi-O echoes the eye-popping architecture found along the old Route 66. What's really turning heads is the entrance, which is shaped like a giant cup with two red straws poking through the top.
