The Great Lakes to Florida Highway Museum is in a restored gas station that is on the grounds of the Wytheville Homestead Museum. Parking and entry to the museum are up the hill at 975 Tazewell Street. There is no place to stop or park at the station itself.

An old gas station has been preserved as a museum along old Highway 21, in the 1930s a main conduit between the Great Lakes and Florida. H.R. Umberger's business, the "Lakes to Florida Service Station," thrived through the 1950, until the road was rerouted through Wytheville and bypassed by I-77.
