A rather large statue of Lenin showed up one day but no one can tell me why. Both hands are covered in red paint, and so is part of his face. Corner of Fremont and 36 St.
[JayBeeYell, 07/28/2015]When you visit Lenin, also look for the minuteman missile and the Sputnik within a few block radius. Also worth noting is that the statue is the only specimen that does not portray Lenin as a scholar (glasses and a book). Instead, he is shown in a strong stride, with flames and bayonets around his feet. Not flattering at all. In fact, it implies that he rose to power violently.
[Thom, 02/01/2010]16 foot high bronze statue of Lenin brought from the Czech Republic for only $28,000 in shipping charges and the cost of the statue. The guy who bought it mortgaged his house for the money and promptly died when it got here leaving his wife with a $40,000 debt and a statue of Lenin.
