What a great place for breakfast. They have fried bologna and egg biscuits, and will make the North Carolina famous Pork Chop Sandwich (served with mustard, chili, slaw, onion and tomato). The prices are awesome also. The wall are covered in local lore and Andy Griffith pictures. Our waitress grew up in the area and was very friendly. Note they close between 1:15-1:45 daily.

Snappy Lunch is a diner that first opened in 1923. It is the only remaining business in town that was mentioned on The Andy Griffith Show. As a child, Andy would stop by for a fried baloney sandwich or a hot dog. The diner's specialty is the "World Famous Pork Chop Sandwich." The griddle is by the front window so people waiting outside can see.
