Ride a Horse-Pulled Canal Boat
Pretty cool boat ride and historical lesson....
[T Wilson, 08/01/2020]Ride a Horse-Pulled Canal Boat
I grew up in Indiana not too far from this restored town and didn't even know there was a canal that was hand-dug for transportation. The town is very old and beautiful. There is a towpath that you can walk to and a canal boat to take a ride on the original canal. It's pulled by draft horses and the guide explains life on the canal boats. The canal continued through a lake over a bridge (filled with water, high above the current that was running the opposite way), into another lake then through the town. Lots of history, shopping, eating, and music.
