Racist Dogs Sculpture
I recommend listening to the podcast called Revisionist History about this particular statue! Fascinating!

Great history lesson into the civil rights movement. Need to get there before 3:30 so you can get the audio walking tour of the sculptures in the park. Audio tour needs to be returned by 4:30. If you miss the audio tour, look for a guy named Kenny in the park. He claimed to be 14 at the time of the civil rights and involved in the children marches. He will give you a personal tour. He is just one of the pan handlers we ran into at the park.

Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History podcast is about this more famous Civil Rights statue in the park, "Foot Soldier of Birmingham," based on a 1963 photo that went viral in the press of a police officer and his german shepherd's encounter with a young black man during a protest.
