Great stop about 10 minutes from Prattville.

Really cool, tranquil spot! The bamboo is 30 to 60 ft tall in some areas.

It takes about 30 minutes to walk down the path and snap some pictures. Definitely a unique site to see in the USA. We went during a light rain, and the canopy was so dense that we didn't get wet.
[Scott B., 12/28/2012]Several species of bamboo planted back in the 1940s surround a small pond, creating a 60-foot-tall canopy. Large frogs sit on lilypads in the pond. Feels like you are walking somewhere in Asia, and this place was used for training during the Vietnam War.
