Bensalem, Pennsylvania: Giant Horse Head

This is right out front of the casino and horse racing stadium. It's pretty big, but very hard to get a good picture because of the traffic moving in and out of the casino parking lot.

A quote from a local resident: "You should come back in the morning; the horse head is beautiful in the sunrise."

This one is a must-see for all fans of the Godfather trilogy. In the front driveway of Parx Casino in Bensalem now stands IMHO the gaudiest and most ridiculous statue of a horse that I have ever laid eyes on. This "majestic" head of a horse, which appears almost as if it were severed with a dull knife, is huge. It just was erected and unveiled recently and it really has an odd feel to it, with the flashy casino in the background and located on a strip of suburban sprawl run amok, a huge severed horse-head seems slightly outta place (maybe a running race-horse statue would been less conspicuous). I'm assuming it's a permanent installation, but given it's so odd, who knows?
