In order to see all the squirrel statues, go to the chamber of commerce office on Union Street, near the intersection of State Street and Lincoln Park (there is a Santa Squirrel out front). The chamber is happy to provide you with a map.

Colorfully painted squirrel statues can be found throughout the town. I spotted ten, and when I researched once I got home I found a lot more that I missed. I plan on returning to find more. There's a knight, a soldier, a squirrel in sequins, and a Ronald McDonald squirrel, just to name a few.
[Traci, 08/29/2012]Olean is proud of its many trees (and squirrels). The statues -- there are over 30 -- are officially titled "Woodland in the City," and have names such as Florence Squirrelingale and Ronald McSquirrel. They've been in the city since at least 2010.
