Before you go into the California Science Center to visit Tess the 50-ft. tall woman, try your hand at lifting a 5,400 truck using the Giant Lever in the courtyard of the Science Center. Next door is the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum where the 1932 and 1984 Olympic games were held. If you love to take pictures, a trip to the park is worth the $8 parking fee.

A new species of transparent woman: "Tess" is a 50-foot long simulated (and reclining) human body, with cutaway sections. You can see all the internal action from walkways on either side. The show about her inner workings includes comic bantering with her "cartoon pal Walt." Tess is at the California Science Center, in the World of Life Section in the BodyWorks Exhibit.
