The Hobo Museum is pretty awesome! They've got a full collection of real hobo jackets, walking sticks, folk art, etc., as well as a mock-up hobo fire pit and hobo theater. Directly across the street from the Hobo Museum is the Hobo Memorial Garden. It features a plaque with all the names of the past Hobo Queens, a Hobo Time Capsule, a Grave of the Unknown Hobo, and attractive little metal "Hobo Sign" markers amidst the flowers.

The museum hasn't moved yet and is open 9-5. They are searching for funding to build their new museum across the street. Hobo Convention week shows 20,000 people show up for the festivities on the second weekend in August.

[Curt Gast, 04/29/2001]Unfortunately, we passed though during the hobo off-season. The current museum is in an old movie theater. They are scheduled to open a new museum in 2003. The Hobo convention is the second week in August. Hobo Jungle is a public park with an old railroad boxcar, where hobos and hobo wannabes can hang out.
