Bob The Bull

Retired to the farm. Bob underwent a total restoration this winter and is back better than new. Not too bad for a 45-year-old fiberglass bull.

For years Bob was a familiar sight in the tourist burgs of Ocean City, Maryland, and Chincoteague, Virginia. Now he can perplex vegetable-buyers in Delaware.

Bob the Bull

Giant bull wearing sunglasses and hat, formerly in Ocean City, relocated to Chincoteague. He's in rough shape, with a giant hole in his back, but still wearing his hat and glasses. I have no idea how long he's been out there. Guess all the folks looking for the Chincoteague Viking can also enjoy finding Bob the Bull!

Bob the Bull is located outside of Capt. Bob's restaurant in Ocean City. There are no plaques located on or around Bob, so his true nature remains somewhat of a mystery.

[Greg Brown, 04/29/2001]

November 2003 - Leisure engineer Dr. bob informs: "The bull has been relocated to Chincoteague VA. It is gone from Ocean City, MD. I believe it is next to the Bikini wearing girl. " Tipster Julie recalls: "Bob used to stand in the town of Beltsville, Maryland (I think he advertised a furniture store) in the late '60s early '70s on Route 1 and the corner of Powder Mill Road. Bob moved to Adelphi, Maryland and was painted gold and used as an ad for the "Golden Bull" restaurant in late '70s early '80s(?). He completed his journey to O.C. sometime in the late '80s I believe, and as you can see from the picture was, alas, painted once again."
