The power lines block some of the sight lines for photo takers, but good views of the plane can be found across the street and up a nearby hill. If you stop in tell Norm "hi" and say that Jeff sent you.

In keeping with the flight theme of Kansas City roofs, a newly installed (Sept 11, 2012) DC-3 now graces the roof of this coffee roasting plant. The classic 1943 airplane is perched at the end of a steel matrix runway seemingly about to catapult the plane from the Roasterie Coffee company building and into the sky. The companies motto is "Air roasted coffee and adventuresome spirit" and it carries across perfectly with this new addition to the building. Once construction is complete, the company will be offering its coffee products in a newly designed retail coffee shop at the far end of the plane at the beginning of the runway.
Not far from here is the TWA Moonliner II - Rocket Ship, at the Northeast corner of Baltimore Ave. and W. 18th St.
