Jack Ruby met with mob boss Joseph Campisi and others the night before killing Lee Harvey Oswald. Restaurant was a mob hangout at he time. The family served Italian food, but the previous Egyptian restaurant name was kept to not draw attention to the place. Now there are Campisi's all around town, but the original is on Mockingbird. The booth where the men sat is in the back right corner. Usually marked reserved, but we have sat there a few times when we asked. Pizza is GREAT!
