Pomona, California: Cat In The Hat Town (Gone)
For the 2003 live action film of Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat, starring Mike Myers, the production transformed a couple of Pomona streets with bright paint and giant props. Some props and fading paint jobs remained in Pomona's antique district.

Unfortunately the hat is also gone. We are here right now and it's gone. Officially not worth a stop anymore. There are some fun looking antique shops though.

In 2002 the town's antique district was temporarily transformed with giant props and buildings painted to look like cartoons. Some of the nutty paint treatment survives, and the top hat is still there along with some interior displayed items.
