We tried to visit the castle today (7/2/22) and it said it was closed for the season. You cannot see the castle from the road in July.

We stayed in the cottage at Wing's Castle. Where else can you get a 3 bedroom place with a full kitchen and washer/dryer for the price of a hotel room? Way cool place, and Toni is quite nice. The designer husband died a couple years ago, but their son is carrying on the 44 year old project.

This is a splendiferous palace of ingenuity and art! We did the tour years ago, and recently spent a glorious day and night at Mr. Wing's bed and breakfast. A new room was added with magnificent French carved wardrobe doors, a fantastical ornate overhang for the bed, and intricate surprises everywhere imaginable.
Mr. Wing is in the process of creating more areas just for overnight visitors with a stone Buddha fireplace as a focal point in one. Two dragons adorn outdoor stairs, faces appear in stone periodically, and towers jut from odd locations. His use of found objects is mind-boggling! The cups on the tower spires are made from toilet accessories. The interior tour is unlike any other. With a huge metal round bathtub, a ship bow presiding over the dining area, Victorian gowns, military helmets, and his own life size carved Cigar Store Indians, it's as though you've traveled in time to several centuries at once, just a bit skewed. Not to be missed.

True stone castle that so far has taken 37 years to build. We have seasonal hours, so call ahead.

A man's home that truly is his castle. Moat-shaped swimming pool, gargoyles that look like Richard Nixon. etc. Built by artists Peter and Toni Wing, construction took over 25 years to complete using salvaged materials from antique buildings.
