It's so fun to go on a junk creature scavenger hunt!

In between the buildings at O'Reilly Media, publishers of fine books about nerdy computer topics, stands a tarsier made of scrap metal and spare parts. The saucer-eyed, tree-hugging tarsier is related to the lemur. A 19th century public domain ink drawing illustrated the cover of an early O'Reilly Media book on "Learning the vi Editor," and the tarsier became an icon for their tech publishing business. The sculpture at O'Reilly HQ is the work of prolific Sebastopol artist Patrick Amiot; about 250 other works by Amiot are displayed in the area.
