Giant Berries Basket Spill

The Lauraville Farmers Market has a great permanent display. Their successful spring/summer/fall Tuesday market has been given a grant from PNC and Baltimore Office of Promotions & the Arts to build a large tipped-over basket and large cement strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The fruit is meant to serve as seats for the markets events and decoration. Many sculpters and artists, like Jeanne-Marie Burdette, contributed to building the fruit.

The space occupies an old gas station parking lot, and the old structure is now covered with fun murals. The market is every Tuesday from 4-8 from June to October and has live music, BBQ, vegetarian selections, fresh juices, ice cream and other farm fresh goods, as well as crafts, jewelry and vintage clothes.
