Frierson, Louisiana: Largest Mailbox in Louisiana (Gone)

For the reality show "Bayou Billionaires," the Dowden family erected a 19-foot-tall in May 2012 -- you know, to accommodate the giant checks they received for the natural gas under their property. By December 2023 the mailbox was reported to be gone.

Visible on east side of I-49 mile marker 187. I-49 exit 186, north on 175, first left onto Fly Low Lane.

Built as a stunt for the reality TV series "Bayou Billionaires," but the mailbox is sturdy enough to outlast the show. At 19 ft. tall it beats the 14 1/2 ft. tall mailbox in Newellton, LA, built by a family not on a reality show.
