Erick, Oklahoma: Bonebrake Hardware Museum

The Bonebrake Family's hardware business dates back to at least 1901, when they co-founded the town. But in the 1960s they retired, locked the doors and left. Today you can look in the store windows to see dusty counters and inventory, otherwise unchanged. Promoted by the town as a "museum."

The Bonebrake Hardware Store appears as if the owners locked up for the evening 50 years ago and never returned.
