Check out the website. Once a month on the full moon they have a private event where you and a group of others (Around 20) get a tour and lesson of the grounds. Then you get to walk up where they have snacks and drinks on the top. Costs extra, but worth it.

They have taken great care to preserve and enrich the history of the lighthouse! 203 steps to the top! You'll feel the burn, but the view is so worth it.

Drink water prior...it's hot inside and they don't allow you to take stuff up. Beautiful view.

There is a nice little park at the base of the lighthouse, with some shady spots where you could enjoy a picnic lunch. We just did a drive by while we were in the area. Easy to spot from the road.

Did not have the chance to go in the lighthouse because the weather was really bad. But you get a rain check, with no expiration date.
