Learning Curve Outdoor Twig Sculpture

The Learning Curve collapsed quickly once it started to go, and has now been removed.

The sculpture has started to collapse and is surrounded by barricades, so walking through it is likely frowned upon at this point. Still possible to visit, although you might want to hurry.

The twig sculpture was still standing and in good shape as of March 30, 2013. Located in the courtyard in front of the Conley Art building.

Learning Curve Outdoor Sculpture

The Learning Curve was built in November of 2012 by Patrick Dougherty and hundreds of volunteers. It stands on a knoll on the CSU Fresno campus just west of the Conley Art building. It is constructed entirely of tree saplings and twigs from local sources. It is amazing to see up close as you can walk right up to and through it. Little ones will enjoy exploring the many passageways.

It is expected to last about two years, so this is a limited time attraction. CSUF also has the Conley Art Gallery, Deans Gallery (Music Building), and Henry Madden Library with art on display.
