- The grave and headstone are behind the Walking Horse Hotel, corner of Hwy 269/Spring St. and Hwy 64/Blackman Blvd W. Park in the lot, then walk a few hundred feet into the grassy area behind it. You'll see the headstone there.

Grave of the first world champion Tennessee Walking Horse, a breed originating with plantation owners and known for its calm manner and smooth gait. Historical marker out by the street as well.

The hotel is in foreclosure, abandoned, and in a state of decline as of June 2017. You can still park there, walk through an overgrown (when we were there) field out back and find the grave marker (along with a more recent one for a dog) near someone's backyard shed. The stable appears to be gone.
Of note is the Walking Horse Museum across the street, which is free admission, with a donation optional.
