When walking in the dark back to my hotel after a couple of adult beverages at a local pub, the statue gave my quite a shock! An older gentleman in a suit and tie, on one knee, surrounded by five pairs of bodiless legs, all atop what appears to be a flat-earth platform.
[Mike Gassmann, 06/02/2019]The reason Coach Wooden appears with just the legs of the players is this: he was adamant that new players took care with their socks. He said that if players couldn't get their socks right, they wouldn't play well. Comfort allowed them to play their best.
