Sun Aura Sundial Leg

I take my picture with Big Things for JimsBigThings.com. I went to Sun Aura Resort, Lake Village, Indiana, to get the sundial leg. Sun Aura is a nudist resort, so I did what I had to do. It was late November, 2007 brrrrr!

Sun Aura Sundial Leg

Hello, Kim is my name, the current Ms. Sun Aura of Roselawn Indiana. I was checking out additional links to Sun Aura Resort and came across your site. Seeing our famous leg, which is indeed a sundial, I thought you would be interested to know that the leg has had a (shall I say ) leg lift. Just recently it has been painted. The stage has been replaced with new wood and the base has been painted red, white and blue. We had our 9th annual Ms.Sun Aura contest this last June 2003. Please feel free to stop in again if you are in the area. I feel sure you will enjoy your visit.

Giant Lady's Leg Sundial

The Leg is at Sun Aura Resort (formerly Naked City) not at Ponderosa Sun Club as reported by others. I went and asked if I could take photos, and they escorted me out to see it to make sure I didn't snap any photos of nekkid people (didn't see any).

I got this photo while on a massive road trip inspired by the Road Cheese Hypertour and planned via roadsideamerica.com.

Thanks to Steph for hunting down the elusive sundial leg. The leg appeared in a documentary on Naked City and its annual Miss Nude Universe Pageant in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Before Naked City closed in 1986, it was home of the Ms. Nude Teeny Bopper Contest, the Un-Fashion show, and the "Erin Go Bra-less" Dance on St. Patrick's Day.

Directions:: Sun Aura Resort. East of Lake Village. I-65 exit 230, then west on Hwy 10 for three miles. The nudist camp is on the left, near a pale yellow mailbox and sign. According to website: "come to the front desk during business hours we'll be happy to let you pop in to camp long enough to see her and get a picture."
Hours:: Closed winter, opens May. (Call to verify) Local health policies may affect hours and access.
