The buffalo, named Henry, died in 1935. The buffalo had leucism, making it white. Apparently some drunk knocked it off the walls a few months ago by trying to do pull-ups, so it has a little damage. The rumor, though, is that it is insured for $3m. Definitely a rare treat.
The bar itself is decorated with many other mounted animals.

There's a White Buffalo head in the bar of the Gage Hotel in Marathon. This is a restored historic hotel from the 1920s. They've done a great job on the restoration of the whole place; it has a very 1920s Texas feel. Marathon is the Northern Gateway to Big Bend National Park, about 100+ miles west of Langtree, the home of Judge Roy Bean.
