There is an amazing restaurant at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. It is vegan but was long before the popular kids made vegan tasteless. Grew up eating here and it is so worth it! This was also the site of the old county insane asylum.

The hall has 10,000 Buddha statues shelved behind glass in the walls. Peacocks roost on the lawns among monks chanting. Paintings and statues adorn the walls and lawn. Enjoy a wonderful meal in the vegetarian restaurant on the property. To enter the temple, exit Hwy 101 at the Talmage Rd. exit. Go east and you'll enter it right on Talmage Rd.
