At the intersection of NM 80 and Portal Road there stands a sculpture of the largest rattlesnake rattle and tail on the planet. It is part of the Chiricahua Desert Museum. Inside you will find a myriad of different live rattlesnakes, large poisonous lizards, and collected reptilian memorabilia. You can just drive by and look at the rattle for free. A pleasant interlude while driving down or up NM 80.
