This Saloon Muffler Man is really nice, with his cowboy hat and beer in hand.
[Melanie Turner, 08/02/2019]
A Muffler Man is in front of Copperhead Road Honkey Tonk Saloon. Sporting a cowboy hat, holding a beer, microphone (?), and a guitar. The bar is sort of a roadside attraction itself, with a car ala "Carhenge" buried hood-first by the door.
[Adrian O'Leary, 09/06/2014]It's not a microphone; it's a cigar. The saloon originally had "Redneck Stonehenge" -- three junker cars arranged as sarsens and a lintel -- where the Muffler Man now stands. But the city made the saloon take the cars down.
This guy is a relatively new addition to our cityscape! He's been around for about a year or so. I've been dying to photograph him, but didn't get a chance to until today. This muffler man has been completely restored, and instead of a muffler he brandishes a cigar, a giant beer mug, and a guitar. He stands proudly in front of a popular country bar called Copperhead Road.
[Tamera, 06/27/2013]This beer-hoisting cowboy is actually a brand-spanking new Muffler Man, built in 2012 by FAST in Sparta, Wisconsin. They did an excellent job.
