Set your navigation device to Francis Marion University in Florence. The university is at the intersection of Francis Marion Rd and E. Palmetto St. From the intersection, proceed for about 0.2 mile on Palmetto such that FMU is on your left. You will see the historical marker on your right marking the dropping of the bomb. The marker is at the first right turn you can make from Palmetto, just before an abandoned Phillips 66 gas station. The right turn is not an official street now, but apparently it once was. If you would like to take a picture of the marker, be careful, since there is an open manhole in front of it.
