Gallup, New Mexico: Galoop

Galoop is the name of a giant metal loop (Gallup + loop) that looks as if it should be part of a giant Hot Wheels race track. It's art, but it looks substantial enough to seem car-worthy.

I-40 exit 22. Turn north onto Ford Drive, then left onto Joseph M. Montoya Blvd. Galoop will be on the left, just past the big Kachina statue and N. High St.

Found the Galoop easily but there's nowhere to park, so be careful snapping a photo.

Galoop is a giant loop that looks like it should be part of a giant a Hot Wheels track. There is no sign at the loop, and I could not find anything about it except its name. I even asked the Gallup McKinley County Chamber of Commerce, and they could only supply the name.
