Muffler Man - Viking

It's 2010 and the Viking is still a Viking. It's all "For the glory of Odin" and no "Avast ye landlubbers." He stands guard over the Kiwanis Flea Market field.

After entering town on Maddox Blvd., turn right on Chicken City Rd., which becomes Ridge Rd. It will be less than a mile down on your right. You can't miss it. Looks great at sunset.

Big Viking

The Big Viking -- who looks amazing, like the one that disappeared from Lake Placid, NY -- is across from a crazy, colorful house in Chincoteague Island VA. I came across him while on vacation in August 2008.

Huge Viking standing in a field for no apparent reason - across the street from [the late] "Captain Bob's" junk hole.

Muffler Man - Viking

I have some more tales to share from my latest muffler man journey. Chincoteague does not seem to be home to a Uniroyal Gal. I asked many people who had lived in the town for many years and no one had ever seen anything like her, even when shown a photo. BUT! The viking that disappeared from Marion is in Chincoteague now! His right foot seemed to be missing but a pole was inserted in the hole which seems to help hold him up.
