Jeffersonville, Vermont: Smugglers' Notch
Craggy passages between rocks and small caves offered hidey-holes for slipping past trade embargoes in 1810s, as part of the Underground Railroad in the 1850s, and to traffic liquor from Canada during the 1930s.

Beautiful mountain drive. Not recommend for RV, so you know it will be tight and have switchbacks. I loved the drive and the little town of Jeffersonville on the other side.
