The John Denver Sanctuary is a beautiful space! There is a skateboard park, and playground nearby. Walking trails and beautiful places to sit and just be. I am so glad we stopped here!

Beautiful to see when the flowers are in fall bloom. The John Denver Sanctuary is peaceful -- take a picnic and find time to smell the flowers.

Located in a peaceful nook of Aspen's Rio Grande Park is the John Denver Sanctuary. Many of the singer's songs are carved in stone. A must-see for any John Denver fan and a hidden gem -- great place to read or have a nice lunch on the grass. I was there on a sunny day and couldn't resist taking a picture by the "Sunshine on My Shoulders" monolith.
Every October fans gather at the sanctuary on the anniversary of his death.
