Rosie the Riveter Park
World War II's "Rosie the Riveter" is honored in this unusual little park. This three-acre outdoor interpretive park is located just steps from the former site of the Douglas Aircraft plant where thousands of "Rosie the Riveters" worked to build aircraft for the war. Completed in August 2011, this park features a meandering walkway etched with a timeline of events during World War II, comments from women who worked on the assembly lines, and an interactive cell phone audio tour. Signs and photographs placed on poles along the walkway offer more details as well as comments from women who labored on the fighter-plane assembly line.
A feature of the park is a replica of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, and a bas relief sculpture depicting women assembling airplanes. Note: No restrooms, no water fountains.

Maybe the lack of facilities is part of an immersive tribute. Hard-working Rosie probably didn't get many bathroom or beverage breaks.
